Let me introduce to you Tim Walker an amazing photographer and set designer, whose imagination knows no limits. From pastel coloured cats to set designs that Peter Pan & the lost boys would be envious off, Tim Walker is one of my favourite photographers for his imagination, playfulness and how his lust for life shows through in all his images Enjoy =D

Escapism…. Foz Do Iguacu

Now you will be forgiven if you though this was a photo of your local canal with all the rain we have been having over the past couple of months, but it is actually Foz Do Iguacu the Brazilian side. The sheer force and power of this waterfall, the largest in South America, is unbelievable, the photo does it no justice.
There is a walkway that you can walk along which is at the base of the waterfall at the most powerful part Devils Peak. You came out pretty wet! Its amazing and even wetter than England!

Escapism….. Thailand

Sammy’s Organic Cooking School Chang Mai Thailand

Is this not the BEST toilet you have ever seen! The toilet itself had a little roof over it but apart from that you could see the sky whilst being surrounded by beautiful plants whilst doing your business =D. The cooking school was also amazing! We learnt to make a starter, curry paste, curry, desert & rice! We were also taken to a small local non tourist market, where they explained what everything was to us I found this really useful as I could then understand the menu’s more when we went out for food. Such an awesome day out, we even got a little cook book to take home with us, I make a mean Thai Green Curry now ;D

Escapism…. Uros Islands

Uros Islands- Peru

Uros Islands are floating islands which are hand made out of reeds. Everything is made using the same reeds, from the house, boats, to the islands themselves. There are a small amount of people still living on the islands, the women all dress in brightly coloured traditional clothing with hand embroidered details on them. The women spend all their time of the island while the men can leave to go back to the mainland to earn money and bring in food supplies, because of this the men’s dress has now become diluted with western style tracksuit bottoms and shoes. The main income for the islanders is tourism where you can buy a selection of there handmade products and even a hair pom pom if you fancy it.
Its so cool to see and its a strange sensation walking on the islands as they are very soft but you can’t feel them moving, that much.

Escapism….. New Zealand

Franz Josef Glacier New Zealand

We did a full day hike on the Franz Josef Glacier and it was INCREDIBLE! We got to hike up to a ice ledge where you got amazing views of the glacier and the valley. We then headed back down and walked through ice tunnels and in a ravine! An amazing, and tiring, experience! We even got to wear crampons!

Escapism….Peru

MACHU PICCHU- Peru South America

Ahhh Machu Picchu, Ahhh the Inca Trail! We did the classic trip which was 4 day 3 Nights long, camping and hiking along the Inca Trail, It might not be everyone’s idea of fun but its one of the best things I have EVER done! The sights and the history are amazing. Its not easy though as its at high altitude, you could say I struggled slightly-
Day 1- Hit head gave myself concussion
Day 2- Had to be given oxygen twice!
Day 3- The “Gringo Killers” are called that for a reason!
Day 4- So happy and proud I made it I cried, and I got to see the photo above! Which believe me doesn’t do it any justice, Machu Picchu is literally built on top of a mountain sounded by mountains, amazing! Well done Incas!

Escapism…. USA

The Big Sur America.

We hired a car, one that looked like Postman Pat had owned, and drove from San Fransico to LA, over 4 days 3 Nights. We spent all of the nights sleeping in the car, 1 night was at a view point where we woke up with the view above! Which made it all worth it. We stopped off, for the loo, in Pebble Beach golf club which is very swish to say the least, we weren’t looking our best either. An amazing 4 days but I have never apreciated a bed so much. I hope you enjoy the nice view!
