Ada’s Attic Vintage, is launching their very own brand shiny, sparkly new website on the #27thSeptember2014 at 7am GMT!

Why is this vintage boutique any different? Well first of all its mine 😉 and I have loved and worn vintage fashion before it even became main stream. I had a vision of being able to offer high quality, individual and wonderfully designed and made clothing to everyone. Fashion over the years has become diluted I feel and with awful humanitarian crimes so people can dress is low quality fast fashion, which they wear once or twice, is everything I hate about how the fashion industry has changed over the years.
Vintage fashion give Everyone the opportunity to dress is beautifully made high quality clothes, at prices that are normal cheaper than the high street. I key point and belief of mine and something I promise to commit too in my boutique.

Ada’s Attic Vintage will always;
Keep prices lower than high street equivalents.

Eye, Eye

Now I am not a dab hand a make-up and tend to go for the “less is more look” but with a wedding at the weekend I thought id see how the pros spruce themselves up.
I still want to look natural so I am drawn to the light, glittery eye shadow trend that was shown on the spring runways.

Dolce & Gabbana

Gold is a frequent theme in Dolce & Gabbana’s Sicily-themed collections and for spring/summer 2014, Pat McGrath picked up on the hue with a subtle wash of shadows from the brand’s Smooth Eye Colour Quads in Golds and Desert across the lids.

3.1 Philip Lim

At first glance, Nars’s Duo Eyeshadow in Iceland looks like a palette of two identical shades of white, but on the skin they appear prettily sheer – one with a pale green tint and the other a pearly blue. At the 3.1 Phillip Lim show, make-up artist Francelle Daly used the latter for a cool-toned take on illuminated eyes.

Pat McGrath dabbed a pale highlighter at the inner corners of the eyes at Valentino, where the entire beauty look was based upon the play or light upon the face.

The ethereally pretty eye make-up at MaxMara was created by Tom Pecheux, who applied MAC Sparkle Shadow in Tender Moon all the way from the lashes into the brows. A perfect make-up look for a night out or if you with the bride i think, so pretty yet understated.

Gianfranco Ferre

A warm, coppery-gold hue is ideal to highlight a summer tan – as swept across models’ lids at Gianfranco Ferre. A look that is so simple yet effective.

What I love most about this make-up trend is that anyone, even of my make-up “ability” could achieve a look inspired by these beautiful examples. And without having to spend a lot of time or money, my kind of make-up. I will post my examples asap.

Y is for Yen, Shao Yen

Shao Yen, Autumn Winter 2014-15

I like to see Autumn Winter collections with some colour in them and that seems to be rife for Autumn Winter 2014-15. This collection by Shao Yen, sees the American Sports wear trend carried through for another season, with inspiration taken from space in the form of silhouettes and fabrics.

Shao Yen, Autumn Winter 2014-15

With oversized sportswear jackets, slim legged tapered trousers and mini and midi skirt with new half moon silhouette. Paired with laser cut, sheer, satin, faux fur, check & striped fabrics this collection has got something for everyone.

One of my favourite bits of this collection is the attention with has been paid to detail, the cute frill cuffs and knee detail on the trousers, the use of crystal style beading on coats and the placement on faux fur on the jackets. But my all time favourite piece has to be the metallic silver and faux fur fish shaped clutch bag!! Amazing!!

W Is For Wayne

Wayne Autumn Winter 2014-15

I love the name Wayne for a fashion label, it makes me smile every time I hear, say, or see it (im easily pleased), I think it would make a great name for a Cat…. of course a very stylish Cat.

Wayne Autumn Winter 2014-15

Anyway enough procrastinating, Waynes’ Autumn Winter collection is our W for designers to know/watch. This collection is cool, quirky and easy to wear. I love the cooling blue, grey, gold and camel colour palette. The androgynous feel to the way the clothes have been cut and styled, and how they make it look effortlessly sexy. The use of full skirts, full length coats to bomber style coats, thick knits and even Flared trousers!! This collection has a mass appeal, and for good reason.

V Is For Vera Wang

Vera Wang Autumn Winter 2014-15

V had to be for Vera Wang, one of my all time favourite labels everything from runway to bridal I just love!

Vera Wang Autumn Winter 2014-15

The Autumn Winter 2014-15 collection doesn’t disappoint either, with a very very dark colour palette, you will see black, black and more black with the odd metallic touch here an there. Checks, frills, sheer fabric and bugs embellished on to clothing and jewellery gives this collection an androgynous sexy grunge feel to the collection.

U Is for Unique on the High Street…. Topshop

Topshop Unique Autumn Winter 2015

Ahh Topshop a long time high street favourite of mine and millions of other, now around the world. The “Super” High Street British brand has gone from strength to strength with no sign of slowing down. Why you say? The innate ability to “know” what we women want to wear, the ability to translate Catwalk trends down to high street prices (be them top end high street prices) but without losing the details that make it special. The way that they offer something for everyone and that brings me nicely on the Unique label that is designed by Topshop itself.

Topshop Unique Autumn Winter 2015

A label that yes is High Street but shows at London Fashion Week. A HIGH STREET label that manages to attract no other that Anna Wintor ( who wore Alexander McQueen, you can’t have everything), Kate Moss & little model, soon to be super model, sister Lottie to their front row. The pull to Topshop Uniques LFW is their ability to cleverly combine the current fashion zeitgeist whilst adding its own youthful and relevant spin.

Topshop Unique Autumn Winter 2015

Their Autumn Winter 2015 collection is about English heritage and a “rebellious streak”. That idea of tomboy toughness combined with a reluctant pretty for a series of Margot Tenenbaums, all smokey eyes, bleach-blonde hair and fuzzy coats worn dishevelled and sloping off the shoulder.

Topshop Unique Autumn Winter 2015

The way that Topshop style their clothes is also another key element to their success. A mix of the belted and bunched yet simultaneously a little unkempt. It was a true reflection of how girls want to look and how they wear their clothes.

Topshop Unique Autumn Winter 2015

There were cropped little knits over gymslips and super cool, padded puffa parkas in steel and navy. Pinafore dresses came later and then prom numbers that again showed some shoulders – be it through a sheer, sequined top half or a squared-off neckline.

Topshop Unique Autumn Winter 2015

Sweatshirts were beaded and fake fuzzy shearling – colourful and patchworked to give a romantic quality to the whole thing. Even tomboys have a soft side after all.

Topshop Unique Autumn Winter 2015

Almost like a little bit of your own Catwalk Fashion magic….. very clevor Sir Philip Green!

T= Temperley London

Temperley London Autumn Winter 2014-15
Temperley do stunning, jaw dropping beautiful dress that you can’t help to A, Love B, Wish to at least touch/try on and C, just want to stare at… Or is that just me?
This season they wanted to try a new direction and took inspiration from Italian ceremonial dresses and ecclesiastical heritage instead of its sun drenched coast. With the jacquard print taken directly from ceremonial robes. This collection is more for the Temperley Women by Day.
Temperley London Autumn Winter 2014-15
Dresses, coats and bandeau dresses covered in decorative prints – inspired by the tile work from the aisles of ancient cathedrals – and particularly lovely quilted cropped jackets and flirty skirts all looked like pieces from the wardrobe of a grown-up hippy strolling down Portobello Road sifting through the market’s treasures – the stricter pieces like the sheer blouses, double-breasted A-line wool coats and crew-neck patterned jumpers acting as her staples for smart-casual dates and freelance meetings in the West End.

Temperley London Autumn Winter 2014-15

“I wanted to push things in a new direction with separates, tailoring and suiting to make it more contemporary,” the designer revealed. “I want more day-wear and not to be so evening focused right now.”
It’s a bold move for a brand that has cultivated such a strong identity as the go-to for black-tie events and A-list weddings, but one that looks sure to pay off. This is a collection that has got the Temperley after-dark signature but satisfies 24-7.
