Menswear Day 6 at LFW!

Whenever I go into shops I always feel sorry for Men, who usually have a small selection squeezed into the back corner. But after seeing what is on offer from the designers showing at London’s Fashion Week, I no longer have any sympathy! Guys you are being spoiled. From cool classic cuts to crazy out there wacky prints, layers and simple styling you have everything on offer to you that us women do. Enjoy!

E.Tautz A/W 2012

Strong Simple Silhouettes, classic style.
James Long A/W 2012

A more casual, boho inspired collection. A modern Kurt Cobain style.
Lou Dalton A/W 2012

Again a classic, understated collection with a vintage twist.
Man A/W 2012

A very out there, in your face collection, with some interesting use of colour, print and silhouette.
Matthew Miller A/W 2012

A collection that has both the wardrobe staples and the more fashion lead pieces.
Oliver Spencer A/W 2012

Classic, cool and very manly!
Rake A/W 2012

This collection is for your modern day man who likes to look like he was from a year gone by. A man’s man collection, sexy!

Nasir Mazhar

Some beautiful accessory designs by Nasir Mazhar. With cool, original designs, that focus on attention to detail, we love the new collection for A/W 2012.

Above are our favorite, beautifully feminine with pastel tones and shades of white finished off with bright embroidered detail, soooo nice!

This is so pretty! We love the neck piece, it’s on our wish list!

Day 3!

You know the roll…. Here are our favs from day 3! We have soooooo much choice to look forward to!
Acne A/W 2012

Bright neons mixed with pastel shades and leather! How could you not love it!?

Margret Howell A/W 12

Cute pleated skirts in muted tones, straight leg trousers and cropped knitted jumpers, were thinking wardrobe staples!

Louise Gray A/W 2012

Clashing prints bright colours and wacky over the top hair and earings… not for the wall flowers of us but take elements and mix with jeans, pleated skirts or leggings and you have a great diverse and fun wardrobe!

Mulberry A/W 2012

Ah the English sweethearts Mulberry. Were not surprised to see beautiful prints, silhouettes and fabrics waltzing down the runway. We are loving the movement in the fabrics and the bright Orange tones used to warm up, an otherwise, dark palette. Hands down one of the best collections yet in our eyes. The Dog’s on the catwalk might have clinched it;)
Nichole Farhi A/W 2012

An elegant collection. Loving the black dress with the black and yellow sequins!

Thomas Tait A/W 2012

Cool oversized coats to keep us warm in Winter in a very wearable and flattering shades, brightened up with Yellow Leather trousers! Nice twist, looking forward to seeing more from Mr Tait!

Nice

Half of the fun of reading fashion mags is looking at the beautiful adverts, here are a few of our favs.

Art or Fashion?

Couture fashion is the most expensive fashion in the fashion industry. Its a small select group that use the finest materials and skills, but with its flamboyant style, extreme price tags is Couture fashion better placed in the art world?

The designs are over the top but no-one can deny how beautiful and inspiring they are. Givenchy pushes the barriers of Haute Couture by designing body jewellery, that not only any rocker would be proud to wear, but is 100% stunning! We love the Givenchy collection especially. At the end of the day Couture fashion pieces are, in their own right, art, but they also have the place in fashion, firmly at the top. Its brings us joy just looking at beautiful pictures of it, imagine what we would be like if we could wear it!

All wrapped up!

As a final fair well to Christmas 2011 we have collected together some fine art images by Christ and Jeanne-Claude who “Wrap up” objects, and were not talking about a book. This is “wrapping gone supersized!
