Temperley London Autumn Winter 2014-15
Temperley do stunning, jaw dropping beautiful dress that you can’t help to A, Love B, Wish to at least touch/try on and C, just want to stare at… Or is that just me?
This season they wanted to try a new direction and took inspiration from Italian ceremonial dresses and ecclesiastical heritage instead of its sun drenched coast. With the jacquard print taken directly from ceremonial robes. This collection is more for the Temperley Women by Day.
Temperley London Autumn Winter 2014-15
Dresses, coats and bandeau dresses covered in decorative prints – inspired by the tile work from the aisles of ancient cathedrals – and particularly lovely quilted cropped jackets and flirty skirts all looked like pieces from the wardrobe of a grown-up hippy strolling down Portobello Road sifting through the market’s treasures – the stricter pieces like the sheer blouses, double-breasted A-line wool coats and crew-neck patterned jumpers acting as her staples for smart-casual dates and freelance meetings in the West End.

“I wanted to push things in a new direction with separates, tailoring and suiting to make it more contemporary,” the designer revealed. “I want more day-wear and not to be so evening focused right now.”
It’s a bold move for a brand that has cultivated such a strong identity as the go-to for black-tie events and A-list weddings, but one that looks sure to pay off. This is a collection that has got the Temperley after-dark signature but satisfies 24-7.

McQueen Spring Summer 2014
Ahh even just the though of McQueen brings a massive smile to my face. The spring summer collections, RTW, Mens & Runway all surpassing expectations it has been a pleasure to experience the world of McQueen and Sarah Burton.

McQueen Spring Summer 2014

McQueen Spring Summer 2014

The Women’s Runway collection for spring summer instantly strikes with its monochrome and red colour palette, eye catching strong and not your typical summer colours. Then the warrior like metal head-ware, leather bra tops and metallic harnesses encircling their breastbones, necks and wrists.

McQueen Spring Summer 2014

Laser-cut leather skirts rippled around them in tiers of red and black or white leather, or came as short kilts buckled twice on the hip. The collection is powerful but not aggressive, with a delicacy coming from the oscillating pleats of skirts that later appeared in tiers of red and black horsehair or ostrich feathers beneath bound bodices. Crochet dresses were stiff with beading but still transparent, like African body art, while trousers cut to mid calf under matching full laser cut skirts gave a hint of the sporty element that is set to be a major trend for this season. Drop-waisted skirts were padded at the back for extra shape or featured wedged tiers of fabric below matching square cut jackets that, when toned down for the shop rails, will make for modern elegance, and will be added to my dream wish list….. A girl can dream.

McQueen a great British brand that captures everything that is a British sense of fashion. A dare to be original, bold, with impeccable attention to detail and an eye for the next big thing, always the trend setter never the follower! One of the things that the McQueen brand do so well is too translate their catwalk collection down into their RTW collections, with the same cutting edge design, print and colour combinations paired with interesting fabrics and silhouettes you can feel like you have just stepped off the catwalk yourself, if you have the money that is.

Peter Pilotto Spring Summer 2014
When I think of summer, I imagine colour, print and fun! Which is definitely what you get with Peter Pilotto Spring Summer 2014 Collection.
Peter Pilotto Spring Summer 2014
With bold blue & green, orange & red and monochrome colour combos and the use of print and very angular almost geometric shapes to the way the fabric had been cut, this is a very daring and oh so beautiful collection. Inspiration for the silhouettes, volume, fabrication, embellishment and colours were taken from Volcanoes!
Peter Pilotto Spring Summer 2014

This collection is a lot of fun with its use of print, silhouette and colour but it is also well designed and well thought out; not many people could pair orange and pink together with a full on print and pull it off!
Peter Pilotto Spring Summer 2014

Overall I think this collection is a grown up yet feminine and wearable collection for spring summer. with a great use of prints and bold colours to keep us excited for the whole season.
